Who We Are:
The OCC is a bureau of the U.S. Department of Treasury which was established in 1863 through the National Bank Act.  We are headquartered in Washington D.C. with offices located nationwide.  The mission of the OCC is to charter, regulate, and supervise the national banking system.  We work to ensure that national banks operate in a safe and sound manner, comply with all applicable laws, and provide fair access to financial services for all consumers.
 
Who We are Looking For:
The OCC is currently seeking to hire entry-level Assistant National Bank Examiners (ANBEs).  We would like members of your group to consider an exciting career with excellent promotion potential and benefits.  A job with the OCC provides a constant variety of experiences and challenges.  To accomplish our job, we travel to many bank locations requiring our employees to travel up to 100% of the time, depending on their office location. 
 
Qualified candidates must have completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree with major study in accounting, banking, business administration, commercial or banking law, economics, finance, marketing, or other field closely related to the position.
 
New bank examiners participate in a 6 to 9 month training program, including classroom training as well as on-the-job experience.  We offer our employees exceptional opportunities for growth, development, challenge, and achievement.  The starting salary is $48,500 plus an excellent benefits package.
 
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists or conducts bank examinations under the supervision and guidance of experienced national bank examiners.
  • Works in a team environment to gather, organize, and analyze bank data.  Determines bank compliance with laws and regulations, draws conclusions, prepares written reports, and recommends corrective action to the examiner-in-charge.
  • Participates in on-the-job and formal training to learn bank examination procedures and practices.  Areas of training include concepts of bank supervision, fundamentals of bank accounting, bank systems and controls, computer applications, and banking.
 
Where We Need People:
The OCC Central District includes Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota.  We represent that district, and will have openings in the following locations following the conclusion of the spring 2012 semester:

We will return to campus on February 15, 2012, to conduct interviews based on submissions received from the Career Fair.  If an interested candidate cannot attend the career fair, these items may be submitted to either of the email addresses below until February 10, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.
