The Market Information Lab is currently seeking candidates (undergraduate and graduate students with at least 1 year left of study) for the 2012-2013 fellowship program with an application deadline of Saturday, March 31.  We are seeking self-motivated, teamwork-minded individuals who have an interest in financial software programs.  This is a paid position that will set you apart from your peers and position you well for your career.
Launched in 2009 by a landmark gift from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Trust, the Margolis Market Information Lab in the BIF has become one of the most sophisticated and well-utilized university finance learning labs in the United States.  It is equipped with state of the art software products used globally by industry firms in all areas of finance.
The Lab is home to the Fellowship Program.  Fellows are top students from a variety of disciplines.  Their work includes developing and teaching software workshops and providing support to students who use the tools for class projects or research.  The knowledge and skills gained throughout the Fellowship Program has helped fellows stand out from the competition throughout recruiting and on the job.  Former and current fellows are affiliated with top accounting, consulting, investment banking and trading firms.  Such firms include J.P. Morgan, the Boston Consulting Group, UBS, Credit Suisse, DRW Trading, Deutsche Bank, Wells Fargo, KPMG, Deloitte, Ernst and Young, PwC, Lazard and others.  The fellowship experience has shaped their ability to (1) attain these top jobs, and (2) hit the ground running as top-performers in their respective fields.
